The Examen ordinadorum was Melanchthon's guide for examining candidates for ordination. Ursinus taught with the Examen in Breslau. It has particular historical-theological value in showcasing Melanchthon's developing mature thought on the role of faith in salvation - a topic that caused a falling out with Calvin.
